After some long hours of research, Hidden Valley Ranch, Boise Idaho (52 horses) is now using Equilix Supplement, Click here for Brochure as the mineral of choice.

We previously used other products but do to a price increase, which forced me to get busy to find something equivalent or better and I think we found it. The distributor and I spent over five hours comparing products on-line and I found his to be superior to most others or at least fairly close and the price is much better and affordable for us. Keep in mind we have 52 horses on it.
And it does have a lot of added value.  We noticed in the first 2 weeks of use, that the hay we feed has not totally disappeared by 2pm from the morning 8 am feeding, we are already cutting 1 bale out each day, 1 ton saved per month, 28 horses are in this 20 acre lot, they are shedding heavily, and we haven’t even done our Spring worming. Wow.

SweetPro Feeds is proud to introduce EquiLix with the FlaxFactor. We’ve formulated EquiLix especially for horses, adding both stabilized milled flax and ProBiotein. Today’s horse owner is more quality conscious than ever because they know good quality produces better results. Those results come in many forms. Some are visual such as a shiny hair coat and bright eye and improved health. Others are reflected in better performance for the working animal. In the end it comes down to economics and that’s where SweetPro’s new EquiLix shines brightly. A healthy horse looks better and costs less to maintain. Now with EquiLix feed efficiency boosts, the cost of maintaining your horse in top condition can be reduced.

More Information

ProBiotein is a proprietary blend-additive consisting of yeast
culture, prebiotic oligosaccharides, enzymes, and protein isolates.

The Yeast in ProBiotein, cultured on a media of wheat, oats, barley malt and flax, is rich in biotin and other nutrients to aid digestion. The Oligosaccharides, often called prebiotics, because they feed the beneficial probiotic bacteria, are a key part of the ProBiotein additive. These prebiotics help maintain good digestive tract health.

Enzymes, the catalysts of digestion are included in a fibrinolytic, amylolytic & proteolytic array to assist fiber, protein and mineral utilization.

Flax helps in many ways. The oil is dense energy which is high in Omega 3 fatty acid content. Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid often missing in modern diets. Flax is also among the richest sources of lignans, which help improve immune function. Organic complexed minerals are featured. Zinc, copper and manganese are complexed, or bound to protein instead of other minerals, assuring high bioavailability.

EquiPride also includes ethyl alcohol to raise palatability, enhance fiber digestion and add another non-starch energy source. Now with feed efficiency boost, the cost of maintaining your horse in top condition can be reduced.

Look for up to 25% improvement in forage feed efficiency with SweetPros EquiPride.

Digestive Aide, Vitamin and Mineral Supplement for Horses
Horses are hind-gut, foraging herbivores with a comparatively small stomach. A horse left to its natural foraging patterns will graze on high fiber grasses and hay many hours of the day allowing its small stomach to balance acid and enzyme digestion with the fermentation digestion of the cecum and colon (hind gut).

Because so many horses are boarded in stalls and non-pasture confines, they are fed in shorter time periods and with more concentrated energy feeds such as grain that is high in starch.

This is where SweetPro Feeds EquiPride is helpful in aiding the digestion of the typical stable diet.

How EquiPride Works
Because a horse produces less natural amylase (starch digestive enzyme) than other animals, (i.e. 10% of what hogs produce) the chances are greater for undigested starch reaching the cecum and colon.

The cecum and colon are the areas where feed is digested by other organisms rather than by acid and enzymes. Mostly, the populations of these organisms prefer hay and other forages, not grain. As a result, elevated levels of grain starch force a shift in their population and in the process, acid levels rise and start to cause problems such as colic, laminitis and ulcers.

EquiPride as a digestive aide consists largely of externally processed ingredients that have been pre-digested for the horse and improves the nutrient utilization of the horses entire ration, as well as adding key nutrients.

ProBiotein is the SweetPro Feeds proprietary blend additive in EquiPride which constitutes the digestive aide. We stress the blend aspect of ProBiotein since digestion is a complex process that is influenced by many factors and combinations of factors. No single silver bullet ingredient is going to get the job done.

 Enzymes (amylolytic, fibrinolytic, proteolytic);
 Yeast (saccharomyces cerevisiae);
 Fiber and fermentation metabolites;
 Oligosaccharides (prebiotic, i.e., food for probiotic bacteria);
 Protein Isolates (wheat, oats, barley, corn and flax) broadens amino acid profile.

Flax Factor
Omega3 fatty acids (alpha linolenic with lignans).

Vitamins and Minerals
 Vitamins (A, D, E and d-Biotin are added to B complex vitamin from yeast);
 Minerals (organic complexed trace minerals to raise bioavailability).

The amylases added to your horses diet via EquiPride include both alpha amylase and glucoamylase (aspergillus oryzac extract) to help mitigate problems. Additionally, there are other enzymes helping digest fiber, protein and minerals. Blended with the enzymes are oligosaccharides that help feed the beneficial bacteria and help keep their populations high enough to exclude pathogenic bacteria from getting a foothold.

A noteworthy component of the EquiPride blend is flax, which is best known for its rich source of omega 3 fatty acid, so often neglected in modern diets. Flax is one of the highest sources of lignans. Lignans contribute to immune function. The major lignan in flax is SDG (seicoisolariciresinol diglucoside).

Lignans from flax are being studied in human applications because of strong antioxidant properties that may play a positive role in certain cancers. This characteristic of lignans may also be responsible for reduction in atherosclerotic plaque formation noted in animal studies. The development of both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes has been shown to be due in part to oxidative stress. The flax lignan SDG has been found to be effective in lowering the onset of both types of diabetes due to its potent anti oxidative ability.

All these factors and components of EquiPride add up to improved digestion allowing the horses immune system to maintain a wellness that virtually eliminates the need for costly gastric, joint, hoof and other chronic malady treatments, while giving energy, weight maintenance and a shiny coat to this magnificent animal.

And this final note when digestion is improved, less total feed is needed. We are seeing forage requirements drop by over 20%. Depending on prices, one can recover nearly half the cost of EquiPride in feed savings alone!

EquiPride is the ounce of prevention that eliminates the pound of cure.

How Do We do it?
SweetPro pioneered the solidification of fermentation feeds such as distillers grain into solid blocks and now we’ve developed our own new fermentation process to produce a unique blend additive call ProBiotein. Yeast and enzyme levels in ProBiotein greatly enhance the digestion of forages, so horses get more out their hay. Organic complex trace minerals help improve bioavailability of those important minerals. Plus we’re adding the FlaxFactorstabilized milled flax with its high levels of healthy omega 3 fatty acids.

EquiPride blends vitamins, organic complexed minerals, stabilized milled flax and distillers grains with ProBiotein, our proprietary additive.

With EquiPride, we noticed that our horses had more endurance but without becoming excitable – or HOT. Most people feed extra grain to get that extra energy but we dont have to. Weve virtually eliminated graining our horses.

Answering some questions that came up:

Hi Sheila,
I just got off the phone with the V.P. of the SweetPro company in MN. He called me, after I mentioned to Ron, my distributor, about your e-mail.

He is absolutely sure that his product is superior to anything else on the market, it was very enlightening talking to him.
And I am even more convinced now that this is the right product and also more reasonably priced.

Also the product is absolutely chelated. Otherwise it couldn’t work.

The flax is enhanced by certain way of fermentation and extruded to best release all the Omegas, 3, 6 & 9. Which apparently no other product has.

My horses have been off the other products for over 2.5 months now, and within the last 10 days we are seeing more magnificent changes than we did with the other brand in the 2 or 3 years we used it.

The way they use the distillation process does not kill the life enzymes and has very viable yeast which are needed for your horses stomach and overall health.
Pre-Biotic is at its best value at 100%.  Pro-Biotics are very weak in comparison.

This product is proven over the years to totally eliminate gas colics  and will heal ulcers.
LCI Insurance is getting ready to promote and advertise the EquiLix to all of their insurance holders, since their main cost is Colics in horses and they have seen what it can do over the years.

The EquiLix also has a Sand Clearing compound and has a diatomaceous earth like a feed through wormer in it that will help to eliminate the larvae in the manure where the flies lay their eggs.
A big test is coming to an conclusion at a huge Texas horse ranch and after using the EquiLix for the past year, after 9 months all the horses tested worm free.

The horses will need less washing (which helps to keep the natural oil in the coat), they are way shinier in the Summer and their hoof growth is great with nice thick hoof walls (we have 3 horses that we are using for guinea pigs on that, no matter the owners feed them, their feet are horrible).

I am not putting other products down, but they just priced themselves out of my place (52 horses).
Plus they don’t have the buckets (the EquiLix is guaranteed to withstand heat and rain, will not dissolve like the Purina blocks), how am I supposed to make sure that each horse gets their minerals, it would take hours each day to pull each horse.

SweetPro Company guarantees, just like some others, that they are using the best and freshest products available and stand 100% behind their product.

All the facts and more are on their website  http://www.equilix.com/, and the President and V.P. are more than happy to talk to you about concerns or questions.

Hope this helped.  Give it try and test it for yourself, I don’t think you will go back. @>—-

We certainly love this product here at our place.
