See her video at the GSSHA show by Kicking S Video here

She showed at the Snaffle Bit Futurity, September 13, 2019 and placed 3rd in her class with a score of 660.

The end of our Honeybee story at HVR –

She Sold to Erica, we are so happy that Erica went to purchase a hat and ended up falling in love with sweet Honeybee…. what a great ending to her amazing story. Thank you to everyone that made this year long journey possible.  We are wishing Erica and HB the best their lives together will provide and for them to be in each others presence for a very long time. Good luck to them. She is now a Nevada resident.

A once in Life Time opportunity opened its door while attending the 2018 Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity and checking out the fillies that were chosen to partake in the specially created Spayed Mustang Filly Futurity. 1st place to win $25,000 in 2019. With the love I always had for mustangs and having owned some amazing ones in the past, I decided to join this elite group of horses, trainers and owners.

With joy and much pride I was the high bidder for Honeybee, a light colored, well balanced palomino filly, long legged, pretty head and nice temperament. I took the time to observe her, got opinions from friends, trainers, a veterinary and a world show judge and all liked her and put her in the top 3 of the 11 contenders. Yes, I did my homework on this sweet girl.

After I got her home, the halter training started, the fillies all had a small start, but nothing one would call halter broke. She took a lil time to get to understand that we didn’t mean her harm and in no time she was out of the Roundpen and meeting ghosts and goblins (yes, it was Halloween time).  In about 6 weeks time I had her saddled and ponied her all over the area, including tough obstacles, she never refused and was a great joy to work with. In January she got hauled to Jason Gay Training, he was able to step right in the saddle (huge compliment for me to see him not taking to much time to check out my ground training). He started her the right way and in no time he also had her trust and heart and she works very well for him. She never offered once to buck or bog.

She has been shown in the Nampa, Idaho Gem State Cow Horse Association, where she received a 0 in Reining (she over spun in the last spin) and received scores in the mid sixties for her herd work and fence work. She will only improve with more time.

Thank you to Jason Gay Training to taking on the task to train and show Honeybee at the 2019 Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity. He also hauled her to Las Vegas for the experience of it and done additional cow work at a friends place. She certainly needs more show experience, but she has never failed Jason and he loves her try and work ethic. He would consider keeping her in training.

She is available for sale, due to us just not having the time for her, we just added a broke gelding for the grand kids and have our hands full with all the things we are doing. She can change ownership after the Futurity on September 15th.  Don’t miss out on this great filly, one of a kind. Oh yeah, I am happy to say, She Found A Forever Home!

We decided not to put her in the Reno Sale and are offering as a private deal.  She had over $10,000 in training alone, not to forget the purchase price I had to pay for to earn the Right to Show her.

Reining pattern – July 2019  Sadly, I could not be there for the Fence Work and have no video of her 67 pt run, just pictures below

Jason always says that her try is amazing and she would make a nice horse for an Amateur or Open rider in time.

Keep in mind, this show was in late July and she has six more weeks of training since then.
