Sold: Dun It In A Flash – 2007 Dun AQHA

 * Thank You Randy & Jami for buying this great Stallion, he is standing close to Baker City Oregon.

Ken McNabb is absolutely a fan of Flash, he also chose him for a laying down demo during the 2010 Horse Expo. Flash & Ken.  Ken took a moment and checked Flash for conformation and couldn;t find a fault, good Flash.

Sold to Baker County, Oregon   –   After some soul searching I came up with the answer, I need a paint stallion again. I like Flash a lot and it’s the only reason we sold this gorgeous boy, with this awesome  pedigree. But I do miss the paint spots.   We did breed two mares to Flash and will have a few of his off-spring in 2011 at HVR and there will be a few more in Oregon with Jami & Randy.

Flash and his sire Beau Dunit are buttermilk buckskin duns. They are homozygous for black, and carry one copy of the cream gene and one copy of the dun factor. According to AQHA he is a registered “dun” however they are really buttermilk buckskin duns.

Flash has two copies of dun factor which dilutes his color even more. Each, dun or cream gene, dilutes the body color one shade for each that they carry. He happens to be a buttermilk buckskin (1 dilute) and has two copies of dun (2 dilutes) one copy from each parent, which would explain why Flash is buttermilk but also has the grulla look.

His sire Foothills Beau Dunit himself is an NRHA Money Earning stallion, and proudly earned his Performance ROM with AQHA as well.
